1000 Fish Art Exhibition
1000 Fish Online Art Exhibition
Collecting colorful fish and memories
What is this about?
Due to the COVID-19 crisis, the Vancouver Aquarium, home to over 70,000 incredible animals and a great place of learning and inspiration in our community, faces permanent closure. To support the aquarium and to encourage more people to help keep the aquarium afloat, I created the 1000 Fish Art Exhibition. My goal is to collect 1000 fish, 1000 stories, and hopefully $1000 in donation for our beloved Aquarium.
How to Join?
Make a fish with whatever medium you want. Paint it, draw it, collage it, sculpt it...you name it! Take a good picture of your work and submit it to along with your name (if you want) and a sentence describing your favorite memory about the aquarium. I will be uploading artwork and stories to the collection everyday.
Who Can Join?
It's for everyone of course--Kids, adults, artists, non-artists...
Let's do something fun and meaningful during our quarantine and support the Aquarium and its animals!
Help keep the Aquarium afloat with a donation. Any amount is appreciated!
A Little Bit About Me...
I am Alice Cao, an artist and illustrator from Vancouver, Canada and a recent graduate from the Rhode Island School of Design. I love children's illustration, poetry, film photography and animation. I also love our Vancouver Aquarium. I made wonderful memories there and I hope with our support this gem in our community can get through this crisis.
